Here at I Will Survive, Inc., we see it every day, but nothing quite compares to the magic of the Art Jazz Gala. It’s a night where the rhythm of the music meets the stroke of a paintbrush, all to support families who are fighting the toughest battle of their lives: breast cancer.

Since 2010, we’ve been on a mission to make sure no one has to choose between their health and their home. This gala isn't just a party; it’s the heartbeat of our fundraising efforts. It allows us to keep programs like Financial Freedom for Fighters running, ensuring that rent is paid and lights stay on while our survivors focus on healing.

A Night to Remember at Trees Atlanta

This year, we’re heading to the beautiful Trees Atlanta venue. It’s the perfect backdrop for an evening that celebrates life, creativity, and resilience. From 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM on April 18th, the space will be transformed into a sanctuary of jazz and art.

We’ve curated an experience that hits all the right notes. We are thrilled to feature the incredible Moses Hardie III, whose poetry and presence bring a level of soul to the stage that you just have to feel in person. But the music is only the beginning.

As you walk through the venue, you’ll encounter live art exhibitions. We love showcasing new artists who are making waves in the community. Watching a painting come to life in real-time while a saxophone wails in the background? It’s an atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else.

Why We Do What We Do: The Heart of the Gala

We often get asked why we choose "Art and Jazz" for our primary fundraiser. The answer is simple: healing isn't just physical. Breast cancer takes a toll on the spirit and the bank account. Our founder, Anisa Palmer, often says, "Music and art have a way of healing the soul that medicine sometimes can't reach."

Through the Art Jazz Gala, we raise the vital funds needed for our Financial Freedom for Fighters program. To date, we have been able to impact over 4,000 families. That’s 4,000 moms, dads, and children who didn’t have to worry about an eviction notice because the community showed up at a gala and said, "We’ve got your back."

Perhaps you’ve seen the impact of breast cancer in your own family. If so, you know that the "pink ribbon" is just the start. The real work happens in the quiet moments, when a survivor is too tired to cook, or when the mortgage is due but the medical bills are piling up. We believe in doing things right, and that includes the dining experience. Our gala features a curated fine-dining menu that pairs perfectly with our signature cocktails. For the wine lovers out there, our wine experience offers tastings and art-inspired libations that are as beautiful as they are delicious.

We know that many of our supporters live outside of the Atlanta area, and it seems we can't always have everyone in the room at once. But don't worry! You can still be a part of the mission.

One of our biggest goals this year is expanding our Mobile Wellness Clinic. This clinic is a game-changer for those who live in "healthcare deserts" or simply don't have the transportation to get to regular screenings and wellness checks. By purchasing a ticket, even if you can't attend, you are directly funding the fuel, the staff, and the supplies needed to take health services directly to the people.
